It's not only lovers who hit snags in their love stories. Writers do, too! We all seek love, yet love itself remains all too mysterious—likely the reason why we find ourselves stuck at some plot point.

Ask yourself: how do two people fall in love? When can we say that someone actually is in love? What obstacles will truly test the love of two people? Why would one person forgive another? How can two people stay in a relationship for a long time or—gasp!—as long as they both shall live? Heck, what really is love?

We’ll tackle these questions and more in How to Write Love Stories, a crash course on the genre. Going beyond the classic love story formula, we’ll look into the core of romantic relationships and extract the principles that make love true and meaningful for the people involved.
